Erin Medina, LCSW, has extensive experience in the field of social work. Erin currently serves as the Chief Strategy Officer at Special Olympics Colorado since May 2022, where they are responsible for overseeing various programs and ensuring the organization's mission is effectively delivered. Prior to this role, Erin was the Vice President of Programs at Special Olympics Colorado from August 2019 to May 2022, where they focused on enhancing the quality of programming and strengthening stakeholder experiences.
Before joining Special Olympics Colorado, Erin worked as an Adjunct Faculty at the University of Denver's Graduate School of Social Work starting in March 2018. Erin also served as the Director of Youth Initiatives at Mile High United Way from June 2018 to August 2019, where they were responsible for leading youth-focused initiatives. Prior to this, they held the position of Bridging the Gap Program Manager at Mile High United Way from October 2012 to June 2018.
Erin also gained experience as a Child Protection Caseworker at Arapahoe County from September 2006 to October 2012 and at Grand County Department of Social Services from June 2004 to September 2006. These roles involved working directly with vulnerable children and families in need.

Erin Medina, LCSW obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder, where they attended from 1998 to 2002. Following this, they pursued further education and earned a Masters Degree in Social Work from Colorado State University, completing their studies from 2009 to 2011.
