Matt Ruxton has extensive work experience in the sports and events industry. Matt started their career in 1998 as the Operations Director and Assistant Event Director at Summit Sports and Events. From there, they worked as an Event Coordinator at Octagon in 2000 and later as the Northeast Regional Manager and Event Director at Host Communications in 2001. In 2004, Matt joined Special Olympics Massachusetts as the Director of Sports Management and was promoted to Assistant Vice President of Sports Management in 2006. Matt also held the position of Assistant Sport Manager for Special Olympics USA from 2010 to 2011. In 2013, Matt became the Vice President of Sports and Operations at Special Olympics Massachusetts, a role they currently hold.
