Carly Hougen

Snowboard Coach at Special Olympics Minnesota

Carly Hougen is an experienced professional with a diverse background in sports instruction, therapy, and art. Currently serving as a Snowboard Coach for Special Olympics Minnesota since December 2014 and a Freelance Artist at Carly Jo Studio since August 2014, Carly also instructs adaptive and children's skiing and snowboarding for Vail Resorts, a position held since 2009. Prior experience includes providing in-home therapy as an Adaptive Therapist at B&B Behavioral Therapy from January 2013 to January 2014 and working as a Water Sports & Fitness Instructor at Maddens Resort during the summer of 2010. Earlier roles involved serving as a Personal Assistant to Robert Kerbell, CEO of Lorman Education Services, and being an active Student Senator at UW-La Crosse, where important proposals were developed for the university. Carly holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Wisconsin, obtained in 2009.
