Michael Mayo has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. Michael began their career as an Accounting Assistant at Fletcher/Mayo/Associates in 1975 and worked there until 1984. In 1985, they joined Phillips Ramsey Advertising as a Staff Accountant. After a year, they moved to the American Heart Association, where they served as an Accounting Manager from 1986 to 1992. In 1993, Michael joined California Rural Legal Assistance, Inc. as a Controller, and they held this position until 1996. Since 1996, they have been Chief Financial Officer at Special Olympics Northern California.
Michael Mayo attended Missouri Western State University from 1976 to 1980, but did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study during that time. Michael later pursued a Bachelor of Science in Accounting at the University of Central Missouri from 1980 to 1982.
