Sport Management Paul O'Brien

Paul O'Brien, M.A. in Sport Management, is an experienced professional in the media and sports industry. Currently serving as the Schools Partnership Program Senior Manager for Special Olympics Northern California and as Media Manager for NBC Bay Area since November 2021, Paul has also held various positions at NBC Sports Bay Area & California from 2009 to 2020, including Assistant Assignment Manager and Assignment Editor. Recognized for excellence, Paul received NBC Ovation awards in 2006 and 2008 and demonstrated expertise in video editing and team collaboration. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Sport Management from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, complemented by a foundational education at Bellarmine College Preparatory.
