Community Engagement Team

The Community Engagement Team at Special Olympics Oregon focuses on building relationships and fostering connections within the community to support athletes with intellectual disabilities. They coordinate events like the Eugene Polar Plunge & 5k, manage volunteer initiatives, and develop fundraising strategies to ensure the sustainability of sports programs, while promoting awareness and inclusion throughout the state. Through collaborative efforts, the team enhances community participation and advocacy for individuals with disabilities, celebrating their achievements and fostering a sense of belonging.
