Jonas Upphagen

Jonas Upphagen is an accomplished professional in the field of optometry, currently serving as VD at eyeKnow AB since January 2019, leading Sweden's first and largest competency company in optometry. As Clinical Director at Special Olympics since March 2019, Jonas contributes expertise towards enhancing eye care for individuals with intellectual disabilities. With a rich background that includes roles such as a licensed optician with a Master’s in clinical optometry at Optikmannen and previous positions at Bright Optical Solutions Sweden AB, Vårda Ögonklinik, KSA Vision Clinic, Smarteyes Sverige, and Synsam Sverige, Jonas has developed a robust skill set in refractive surgery and consulting. In addition, involvement with Optikerförbundet as a suppleant indicates a commitment to the professional community. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Clinical Optometry and a degree in Optometry from Karolinska Institutet, complemented by a natural science background from Sjödalsgymnasiet.
