Matthew Walters has a diverse work experience that spans several industries. Matthew is currently serving as the President of the Foundation for Addictions Nursing, a position they have held since November 2022. Prior to this, they were the President Elect of the same organization from October 2021 to November 2022.

From 2015 to present, Matthew worked at SpecialCare Hospital Management. Matthew started as the Service/Intake Coordinator, responsible for site operation and reporting to the client hospital. Matthew then progressed to become the Director of Clinical Services from October 2017 to August 2020, followed by the Senior Director of Clinical Services from August 2020 to September 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Clinical Services.

In 2014, Matthew worked at Bayfront Health Brooksville as a Staff Nurse and Clinical Preceptor from February 2014 to October 2016.

From 2011 to 2014, they served as the Executive Director/Director of Resident Services at an Assisted Living facility.

Matthew's earlier experiences include working as a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Nurse at BayCare Health System from November 2010 to October 2012, and as a Medical Assistant at Westchase Cardiology Group from January 2008 to January 2010.

Matthew'scareer started in 2005 as an Associate at Linens N Things, where they worked until November 2007.

Matthew Walters earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Western Governors University in 2019. Prior to this, they attended Pinellas Technical College for Practical Nursing. Matthew also holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Indiana State University, and an Associate's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from ATA College. Currently, they are pursuing a Master's of Science degree in Nursing with a focus on Leadership and Management at Western Governors University, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
