Specialist Oilfield Services K.S.C (SOS), a leading Kuwaiti engineering services provider established in 1991, specializes in delivering comprehensive support to the upstream and downstream oil sectors.
In 2023, Al-Rashed Group Holding Co. acquired SOS, enhancing its Oil & Gas Service capabilities in Kuwait. Under Al-Rashed Group’s ownership, SOS has seen significant investments and expansion in its facilities and services.
SOS operates from a strategically located 20,000 Sq. Meter site in Mina Abdullah, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. These include:
•	Machine Shops: dedicated to manufacturing and repairing oilfield equipment, industrial equipment, and providing oilfield pressure control services. It also offers heat treatment and maintains certifications under API Q1,  API Q2, API 6A, API 16A, API 16C, API 5CT, API 7-1, and DP-Master, for pressure control equipment, tubular and heavy rig equipment repair and refurbishment.
•	Welding and Fabrication Shop: Includes services for structural steel, tank and pipe fabrication, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and more. SOS also offers blasting and painting services and can handle various projects from site-erected tanks to oilfield water storage tanks and complete equipment packages.
•	Specialized Services: SOS provides a range of services including calibration and testing, coating, on-site maintenance, and manpower supply.
•	Stock products and Capital equipment: SOS stocks and sells a variety of products serving the drilling and well service companies, that includes DSSVs (Drill Stem Safety Valves), IBOPs (Inside Blowout Prevention valves), FOSVs (Full Opening Safety Valves), mud pump expendables, centrifugal pump parts, solid control equipment, IRN tong dies, Accumulator unit spares and Frac plugs. SOS is also recognized as an Authorized Repair Facility (ARF) for HMH-Hydril, Control Flow, Elgin and SARA SAE equipment in Kuwait, underscoring its commitment to high standards and quality.
