David Latourell has a diverse work history in the coffee industry. David currently works as a Sales Manager at the Specialty Coffee Association. Prior to this, they ran their own consulting firm, Latourell Consulting, where they provided consulting services. David also worked at Franke as a Channel Support Manager, responsible for global sales and sales support for the BKON Craft Brewer. At Solberg & Hansen, they held two roles: Product Manager, Coffee, and Export Manager. In these roles, they brought Norway's oldest specialty coffee roaster to Europe, built and managed client portfolios, and developed training programs for top performers. At Intelligentsia Coffee & Tea, they served as part of a three-person team that drove growth in the Northeast region. While at Starbucks, they worked as a Green Coffee Specialist, training with the Coffee Team at headquarters and implementing strategies for the Clover coffee program. David also played a role in marketing and sales support for the Clover Coffee Brewer at Coffee Equipment Company. Earlier in their career, they managed Victrola Coffee & Art and worked in project management at Washington Mutual. Overall, Latourell has extensive experience in various roles in the coffee industry, including sales, marketing, product management, and consulting.
David Latourell completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in German at Reed College from 1984 to 1990. David then pursued their PhD (Candidate) in German from the University of Washington, where they studied from 1990 to 1997.
