Tom Pohl

Tom Pohl is a Principal Scientist at Specifica, a Q² Solutions Company, since July 2021, with prior roles including Associate Principal Scientist and Senior Scientist, focusing on expression vector engineering, yeast display, and antibody engineering. Previously, Tom served as a Senior Scientist at NovaRock Biotherapeutics Ltd, where responsibilities included molecular design and antibody discovery. A Post-doctoral Research Fellow at Princeton University, Tom investigated molecular pathways crucial for genome integrity using various genetic and biochemical techniques. Tom's academic journey began as a Graduate Student at the University of Washington, where research centered on Eukaryotic DNA replication, and Tom also contributed as an Undergraduate Researcher at The University of New Mexico, focusing on DNA repair mechanisms. Tom holds a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Washington and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from The University of New Mexico.
