Aziz Mahfoud Familia has held various positions in the engineering and research and development fields since 2006. From 2006 to 2007, they worked as an Optical Engineer for Cincinnati Electronics/ Air Force Research Laboratory/ University of Dayton, where they were responsible for developing infrared technology for The Wright Patterson Air Force Base. From 2007 to 2014, they worked for Saint-Gobain as an Associate Research Manager, where they were in charge of the optical metrology department and quality control. From 2014 to 2015, they worked for Fosta-Tek Optics, Inc. as a Program Manager/ Thin Film Manager. From 2015 to 2021, they worked for Eastman Chemical Company as a Group Leader of R&D and a Senior Research and Development Engineer. Most recently, they have been employed at Sensory Analytics as a Technical Sales and R&D Manager since 2021. aziz is currently employed at Corning Optical Communications LLC as a Measurements Engineering Project Manager.

Aziz Mahfoud Familia has completed a PhD in Electro-Optics from the University of Dayton, Dayton. They have also attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst and UNPHU. No additional certifications are listed.
