Maria Ruiz-Yantin

Maria Ruiz-Yantin is an experienced environmental professional with a diverse background in geology and environmental science. As of February 2023, Maria holds the position of Environmental Geologist at SpecPro Sustainment & Environmental, LLC, overseeing the Army Environmental Restoration Program. Previous roles include Environmental Scientist/Geologist at EnSafe, Senior Environmental Coordinator at AES Corporation, and Environmental Professional at CEG Assessments, where Maria conducted Phase I Environmental Site Assessments. Additional experience encompasses environmental stabilization efforts in Puerto Rico with DynCorp International, environmental interpretation and community support with Para la Naturaleza, and various geological assessments with Strata Environmental Services and Shaw Environmental and Infrastructure. Academic qualifications include a Master's Degree in Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law School and a Bachelor's degree in Geology from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez. Maria is also engaged in American Sign Language educational endeavors.
