Ankur Gupta

Co-Founder, Advisor at Spect

Ankur Gupta is the Co-Founder and Advisor at Spect. Ankur has also worked as a Fellow at National Eye Institute (NEI), where they developed novel eye imaging tools and methods with Drs. Emily Chew and Robert Nussenblatt. Prior to NEI, Ankur worked in Venture Capital at Burrill & Company, where they sourced and analyzed dealflow, performed due diligence on hundreds of biotech ventures, and led and sourced a $10M Series A.

Ankur received their Master's of Science from Stanford University School of Medicine in the field of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. Ankur also authored a manuscript in PLoS ONE during their time at Stanford. Ankur began their career as a Basic Science Research at Harvard Medical School & Stanford University, before moving on to Genentech as a Process Development Engineer.

Ankur Gupta is an MD who attended UT Southwestern Medical Center for their medical degree. Ankur also holds a B.S. and M.S. from Stanford University in Biological Sciences. Ankur completed their residency training in Internal Medicine at The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine.
