H. David Munguia

H. David Munguia has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. H. David is currently working at Spectator Health as the Vice President of Engineering since February 2021. Prior to that, they were with Humana from 2017 to 2021, serving as the Principal Software Architect / HCS - Insight Platforms. In this role, they provided architectural vision and support for healthcare analytics applications.

Before joining Humana, Munguia was associated with Transcend Insights from 2004 to 2017. H. David held two positions during their tenure at Transcend Insights: Principal Architect / Team Leader - Enterprise Services and Director of Engineering / Analytics. As the principal architect, they led a team of software engineers in designing and engineering large-scale medical analytic platforms. H. David was also responsible for creating the group's strategic roadmap and coordinating cross-functional teams. In their role as the director of engineering, they led a multi-disciplinary software group and provided end-to-end leadership for multiple projects.

Prior to their work at Transcend Insights, Munguia was the Director of Engineering at Global Movies Direct Inc from 2002 to 2003. H. David was responsible for the design and development of software solutions as well as architecting and maintaining the IT infrastructure. During their tenure, they directed an offshore team, designed and developed an inventory control system, and worked on marketing analytics solutions.

From 2001 to 2002, Munguia worked as the Director of Engineering at The Online Asset Exchange. This company provided services for the sales and purchasing of heavy equipment and industrial real estate. Initially hired as a senior systems engineer, they eventually became the Director of Engineering, leading a team of engineers and associates.

Munguia began their career as a Software Engineer/Sr. Systems Administrator at the International Research Institute from 1999 to 2001. H. David also served as a Research Associate at the University of California, San Diego from 1988 to 1997.
