Ian Cubbon has a diverse work experience, starting as a Mechanic/Foreman at Fairwheel Bicycles from 2005 to 2009. In this role, they managed the bicycle service center, ordered repair parts, supervised other mechanics, and resolved customer service issues.
Ian then worked for ServiceSource from 2009 to 2011, initially as a Senior Inside Sales Representative, responsible for renewing and selling Cisco service and support agreements to a customer base. Ian achieved a 200% increase in renewal opportunities and a 50% increase in quarterly sales compared to previous years. Later, they became the Global Team Lead of Data Management, where they analyzed and managed data for a global software company. Ian also supervised a team of 16 employees across different locations and developed training programs for Excel and Microsoft CRM.
Currently, Ian works at Spectra Logic since 2011 as a Software Engineering Architect and Manager. Ian created and led a Tiger Team that successfully solved a critical bug, which had eluded five previous teams. The bug had cost the company 8% of its annual revenue in support costs alone. The investigation involved hardware and electrical level analysis, custom drivers, and web page analysis.
Ian Cubbon attended the University of Arizona from 2004 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering.
