James Gentry

James Gentry has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. James started their career in 2010 as a Freelance Programmer/Designer and continued in this role until 2017. In 2013, they worked as a Field Specialist MWD at Baker Hughes for a year. From 2014 to 2018, James co-owned a company called Bespoke Dog. In 2017, they joined the University of Louisiana at Lafayette as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, where they guided seniors in Operating Systems projects and first-year students in programming. Since 2019, James has been working at Spectra Logic, initially as a Software Engineer and then promoted to the position of Software Engineering Manager in October 2020.

James Gentry completed their Master's degree in Computer Science at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette from 2017 to 2018.
