Lakshan De Silva

Lakshan De Silva has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Lakshan started their career in 2011 as a Trading and Execution specialist at G Capital Management. In 2015, they worked as a Commodities Research Analyst at ING. From 2016 to 2018, Lakshan served as the Chief Financial Officer of Kashmi, a mobile money exchange platform. In 2017, they founded iLoan.lk, a blockchain-powered fintech solution focused on trade financing in the MSME sector. As the Co-Founder and CEO, Lakshan expanded iLoan.lk's presence in the South Asian and ASEAN markets. In 2021, Lakshan co-founded SpectrifyAI, a company where they initially held the role of Co-Founder and CFO. Later in the same year, they co-founded Hyperglade and assumed the position of Co-Founder and Chief Growth Officer. In 2022, Lakshan joined Veracity AI as Vice President. Additionally, they also serve as a Venture Partner at Hatch Works, the venture capital arm of Hatch, where they provide management services to HERCapital, an ESG GenderSmart fund. Throughout their career, Lakshan has demonstrated expertise in finance, commodities research, and fintech.

Lakshan De Silva obtained a Certificate in Investment Banking from New York University in the years 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they completed a dual degree program in BS Accounting & Finance and BS Economics at Stony Brook University from 2008 to 2010. Lakshan'searlier education includes completing Edexcel London Advance Levels at S.Thomas' College Mt. Lavinia from 1994 to 2007. In addition, Lakshan has also obtained additional certifications, including "Fintech: Innovation and Transformation in Financial Services" from the National University of Singapore in 2022 and "Elements of AI" from the University of Helsinki in 2020.
