Alison Henwood

Alison Henwood is currently a non-executive director at Spectris plc. Prior to this, they were with Shell from June 2008 to July 2022, where they served as Executive Vice President Finance for Shell Trading & Supply from 2016 to 2022. In this role, they oversaw a fully global multimillion dollar business which traded natural gas, electrical power, crude oil, refined products, chemical feedstocks & environmental products. The business also managed one of the world's largest fleets of LNG carriers and oil tankers and supplied all Downstream businesses including 46,000 retail service stations. Alison Henwood was responsible for around 7,000 employees across 30 countries.

Alison Henwood is a geologist who received their Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Cambridge. Alison specializes in the study of natural sciences, and their research focuses on the earth's crust and mantle.
