Patrick Henning has a diverse work experience in various technology-related roles. Patrick worked as the Chief Technology Officer at Spectro Scientific since July 2011. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Technologist at Spectro, Inc., QinetiQ North America from 2001 to June 2011. Before joining Spectro, Inc., they worked as a Physicist at American Cooling Systems from 1999 to 2001.

Patrick Henning pursued their education in the field of physics. Patrick began by completing their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Physics from New York University's Polytechnic School of Engineering in 1990. Afterward, they went on to attend Florida State University, where they obtained their PhD in Physics with a specialization in the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory. This period lasted from 1991 to 1996. Later, they engaged in postgraduate research as a Physicist at UC San Diego's Basov Infrared Laboratory from 1997 to 1999.
