Following this, they completed an Internal Medicine Residency Program at Mercy Catholic Medical Center from 1988 to 1991. Antonio also pursued a Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at Saint Louis University from 1991 to 1993. In 2016, they obtained a certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine, becoming Board Certified in Critical Care Medicine.
