Alan Munro

Alan Munro has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Alan started their career as a Programmer at Clinical Information Systems in 1995, where they developed applications using C++ for anesthesia info systems. In 1997, they became a Captain at the 86th Signal Battalion for four years.

From 2001 to 2009, Munro worked at Time Warner Cable, where they held various roles such as Manager of Internet service data centers, Director of Video Platforms, and Senior Manager of the Advance Video Support Organization. In these positions, they supervised teams, managed operations, and maintained systems supporting Time Warner Cable customers.

In 2008, Munro joined the US Army and served as a Major and Battle Captain for the 311th Sustainment Command, overseeing the deployment and redeployment of troops in Kuwait and Iraq during Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

In 2013, Munro joined Spectrum, where they served in multiple roles, including Director of Provisioning and Application Operations, Director of Video Operations, and Senior Director of Video Planning and Implementation. In these positions, they managed staff, coordinated resources, and supported the development and implementation of video platforms and products.

Currently, Munro is the Vice President of System, Guides, and VOD Operations at Spectrum, responsible for the operations and management of these areas.

In addition to their civilian work, Munro is also an officer in the United States Army Reserve, holding positions such as Lieutenant Colonel, Command and General Staff College Instructor, and Colonel, Assistant Chief of Staff, G1, for the 311th Signal Command (Theater).

Overall, Alan Munro has extensive experience in managing teams, overseeing operations, and implementing technology solutions in the telecommunications and military sectors.

Alan Munro attended the Command and General Staff College from 2012 to 2013, where they obtained a degree in Military. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Pepperdine Graziadio Business School from 2003 to 2006. Alan also holds a certification as a Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Certified Practitioner, which they obtained in 2019 from The Myers-Briggs Company.
