Mark Akason has over 20 years of experience in cable/telecommunications, leading multiple locations, launching new products, and creating customer retention strategies. Mark is currently the Vice President of Retention at Spectrum, where they oversee the development and implementation of retention tactics and the mentoring of future leaders. Prior to that, they were the Vice President of Mobile Customer Service at Charter Communications, where they built the mobile service team from the ground up and reduced contact rates significantly. Mark also served as the site leader for Charter's top-performing Video Repair site and helped develop support for Spectrum Guide. Before that, Mark worked at CenturyLink, where they held various roles such as Director of Business Repair, Director of Customer Operations, and Director of Ethics and Compliance. Mark has also worked at Sprint Nextel as a Manager in Real Estate Finance and as an Executive Assistant/Chief of Staff. Mark started their career at PricewaterhouseCoopers as an Associate. Overall, Mark has a strong background in leadership, customer service, and operational management.

Mark Akason earned a BA in Mathematics from the University of Iowa, where they studied from 1991 to 1996. Mark later pursued an MBA in Corporate Finance at the University of Kansas - Graduate School of Business, completing their degree from 2000 to 2003.
