Ahmed El-Shimi

Ahmed El-Shimi has over 15 years of experience in the technology industry. Ahmed started their career in 2004 as a Principal Program Manager at Microsoft's Server and Cloud Division. In 2009, they became a Guest Lecturer at the American University in Cairo. In 2012, El-Shimi joined Microsoft StorSimple as a Principal of Product Management, leading the product offerings from a Storage Appliance to Virtual Array, Management SaaS and Cloud-orchestrated Disaster Recovery. In 2015, El-Shimi co-founded Minima, an enterprise that helps generate and manage petabytes of data. Ahmed then became Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer at SpeechAce in 2017.

Ahmed El-Shimi obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Systems Engineering from Boston University. Ahmed also holds two certificates from Coursera Course Certificates, namely Practical Predictive Analytics: Models and Methods and Data Manipulation at Scale: Systems and Algorithms, obtained in November 2016 and August 2016 respectively.
