Mikal Karlsen

Mikal Karlsen has extensive experience in the telecommunications and engineering sectors, currently serving as the EMEA Manager of Remote Site Engineering at Speedcast since January 2017, where responsibilities include overseeing customer engineering in the cruise, ferry, and yacht segments across EMEA and APAC. Prior to this role, Mikal held positions such as Operations Team Lead and Network Operations Engineer at Speedcast. Previous experience at Harris Corporation involved onshore technical support for VSAT systems and coordination of field engineers, as well as field engineering work for installation and commissioning of various communication systems. Mikal's career began in the Royal Norwegian Air Force as an avionics technician, maintaining sophisticated equipment on maritime surveillance aircraft. Education includes attendance at Bardufoss VGS and Andøya VGS.
