Kenton Nelson

Kenton Nelson currently serves as Vice President of Events at Texas Motor Speedway and Director of Events for Speedway Motorsports, a role held since January 2023. Prior to this, Kenton accumulated extensive experience over 27 years at Texas Motor Speedway, where responsibilities included VP of Events & Operations and Assistant General Manager. Additional roles include Director of Merchandising for the Dallas Mavericks from 1994 to 1996, Regional Sales Manager for the NBA from 1992 to 1994, and Director of Merchandising for the San Antonio Spurs from 1990 to 1993. Kenton Nelson holds a degree from Northwestern Oklahoma State University, attended from 1985 to 1988.
