Dave Thompson It Technical Director

Dave Thompson has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry. Dave Thompson began their career as a Telecoms Engineer at Digital Exchange Communications Ltd in 1998. In this role, they managed customer installations and provided technical support to field engineers. Dave Thompson was then promoted to a Senior Engineer at Armstrong Communications, where they supported and maintained call center systems. From 2003 to the present, Dave has worked at Speedy Services, starting as an IT Manager and progressing to roles such as Data Services Manager - Integration, Data Governance Manager, Application Support Manager, Head of Digital, and Enterprise Architect. Currently, Dave holds the position of IT Technical Director at Speedy Services, where they are responsible for managing the IT infrastructure and digital development team. Their expertise includes data governance, database administration, system integration, and project management.

Dave Thompson obtained a BSC (Hons) degree in Chemistry from the University of Central Lancashire, graduating in 1996. Before that, they attended Wigan College of Technology from 1990 to 1992, focusing on Chemistry, Physics, and Biology A-Levels. Prior to college, Dave attended St Edmund Arrowsmith RC High School from 1980 to 1985.
