Lisa Kitchens is the Founder and Director of Programs at Earth Stories Initiative, where storytelling and education are utilized to connect young children and families with the natural world. Since July 2018, Lisa has developed initiatives such as the seasonal e-digest, SEEDS, and has created arts-based curricula and community workshops. Concurrently, Lisa serves as a Lead Teacher at Brooklyn Forest School, facilitating nature-based education, and is involved with SPELLBOUND THEATRE INC as a Teaching Artist and Ensemble Member, focusing on productions for young audiences. Experience as an environmental educator at P.S. 39 After-School Program and a Nature Theatre Consultant with Flying Leap Productions enhances Lisa's diverse skill set. With degrees including an MFA in Acting from The A.C.T. Conservatory and an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education from CUNY School of Professional Studies, Lisa combines education and the arts to foster connections between children and their environment.
