Ben Ogorek

Ben Ogorek has a diverse work experience in data science and predictive modeling. Ben currently holds the position of Chief Data Scientist at Spencer Health Solutions, Inc. Since 2019, they worked as a Forecasting Software Developer at Nousot while being contracted by Facebook. In this role, they led the development of an internal domain-specific forecasting platform. From 2020 to 2021, Ben served as the CTO & Head of Data Science at Nousot, where they upgraded business productivity and security software. Prior to this, they worked as a Data Science Consultant at Ogorek Data Sciences from 2019 to 2020. Ben also held the position of Director, Predictive Modeling at CUNA Mutual Group from 2016 to 2019, where they led a predictive modeling transformation and implemented a predictive analytics consulting arm for Credit Unions. Before that, they worked as a People Analytics Manager at Google from 2013 to 2015, focusing on improving team productivity and driving the adoption of version control. Ben started their career at Nationwide in 2008, progressing from direct marketing analyst to ML Engineer and making significant contributions to Nationwide's predictive modeling solutions.

Ben Ogorek obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Statistics from North Carolina State University. Ben pursued their studies in this field from 1999 to 2008.
