Hannah Hays has a diverse range of work experience in the field of toxicology and emergency medicine. Hannah has held various roles at Nationwide Children's Hospital, including Chief of Toxicology, Medical Director of the Central Ohio Poison Center, and Medical Toxicologist. Hannah has also served as an Associate Medical Director at the Central Ohio Poison Center. In addition, they have worked as a Toxicosurveillance Consultant for the American Association of Poison Control Centers & Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and as a Lead Physician at Spero Health. Hannah has also held positions at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center as an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics, as well as a Medical Toxicology Fellowship Associate Program Director and Medical Toxicology Fellow. Hannah has worked as an attending physician in the Emergency Department at Grady Memorial Hospital. Hannah Hays earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Combined Sciences from Youngstown State University in 2004. Hannah then attended Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained a Doctor of Medicine degree (MD). Additionally, they have obtained various certifications including a Hyperbaric Oxygen and Wound Care Certification from Healogics, Inc. in 2016, a Subspecialty Certification in Medical Toxicology from the American Board of Emergency Medicine in 2016, and an American Board of Emergency Medicine Diplomate in 2012. Hannah also holds certifications from the Federal Emergency Management Agency in Incident Command System (ICS) and has a State Medical License from the State Medical Board of Ohio which they obtained in October 2011.
