Akash Jain

Akash Jain has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Akash is currently working as the Vice President of Alliance Management and Business Development at Spero Therapeutics since December 2022. Prior to this role, they worked at Biogen from May 2021 to December 2022, where they had a role in Program Leadership and Management. From May 2016 to May 2021, Akash Jain worked at Spero Therapeutics in a Program Leadership position. Akash also gained experience at Celgene as a Principal Scientist in Drug Product Development from May 2015 to May 2016. Before that, they worked as a Senior Scientist in Discovery Pharmaceutics at Cubist Pharmaceuticals from April 2012 to May 2015. Akash Jain started their career at Novartis in November 2006 as a Fellow in Chemical and Pharmaceutical Profiling, where they worked until April 2012. Akash also worked as a Scientist in Drug Product Development at Synta Pharmaceuticals from November 2005 to November 2006. Akash Jain began their career in the pharmaceutical industry as a Research Associate in Pharmaceutics at the University of Arizona, where they worked from 2001 to 2005.

Akash Jain started their education at Indore Public School, where they completed their high school education from 1993 to 1997. Following this, they attended SGSITS College of Pharmacy from 1997 to 2001, earning a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.) degree. Akash then pursued further education at the University of Arizona, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Pharmaceutics from 2001 to 2005.
