Indu Lakhani

Indu Lakhani has extensive work experience in the field of biostatistics and statistical programming. Indu currently serves as the Director of Biostatistics & Statistical Programming at Spero Therapeutics since April 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Altasciences as the Associate Director of Biostatistics from August 2021 to April 2023, and as the Senior Manager of Statistical Programming from April 2021 to August 2021. Before joining Altasciences, Indu held the position of Manager Statistical Programmer at PPD from March 2018 to March 2021. Indu also worked as a Manager Statistical Programmer at inVentiv Health Clinical from November 2016 to March 2018 and as a Principal Statistical Analyst/Line Manager at inVentiv Health Commercial from December 2013 to November 2016. Their earlier roles include acting as a Senior Statistical Analyst at inVentiv Health Commercial from February 2011 to December 2012. Indu started their career as a Statistical Analyst at Eli Lilly from January 2007 to January 2011, where they handled Phase IV and Phase III studies and developed a clinical trial database. Indu also served as a Data Manager at the University of Indiana, Division of Biostatistics in 2007, working on data analysis and management for the IU Kenya HIV and Nutritional Project and the Alzheimer Project-Clinical Trials. Prior to that, they worked as a Programmer Analyst II at the University of Michigan, Pediatrics-Ambulatory care from March 2005 to January 2007, where they created longitudinal datasets and worked on multiple Medicaid projects. Indu started their career as a Research Associate II at the University of Michigan in July 2002, where they analyzed the use of radiation in Stage IV Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer using SAS and SPSS software.

Indu Lakhani has a diverse education history spanning from 1991 to 2009. In 1991, they completed a Diploma in Computers from the National Institute Of Information Technology (NIIT). Following this, from 1993 to 1998, Indu Lakhani pursued a Masters in Business Management from the Fore School Of Management. In 2000, they enrolled at Eastern Michigan University, where they earned a Masters of Science degree in Information Systems and Applied Statistics. Lastly, from 2007 to 2009, Indu Lakhani studied at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis, obtaining a Masters degree in Applied Statistics.
