Pierre Omidyar

Pierre Omidyar is a limited partner at Spero Ventures. Pierre has also been a partner at Omidyar Network, head of product at First Look Media, and a board member and advisor for various companies. From July 2001 to June 2006, they were vice president of eBay.

Omidyar Network is a philanthropic investment firm founded in 2004 by Pierre Omidyar. The organization has made over $1 billion in equity investments and grants across five sectors: emerging technology, education, financial inclusion, governance and citizen engagement, and property rights.

First Look Media is an independent newsroom committed to supporting independent journalism. They build technology to improve the distribution of news and information, and create economic models that sustain investigative journalism and storytelling.

After graduating from Stella Maris College with a B.A. in Economics, Pierre Omidyar attended Harvard Business School, where they earned their MBA in Economics. Pierre then went on to earn their MFA in Film from the New York University - Tisch School of the Arts.
