Sidney Johnston is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the oil and gas sector. Currently serving as Vice President of Innovation & Strategy at Spex Group since September 2013, Sidney leads initiatives at The Innovation Centre, which focuses on developing new technologies for the upstream oil and gas industry. As the Chairman of Energy North since November 2010, Sidney plays a pivotal role in shaping the organization's strategy and enhancing its profile. Additionally, Sidney contributes as a mentor at exploHub and has held significant roles at AMEC, including Interpreneur and Head of Supply Chain for Europe & West Africa. Sidney’s leadership experience extends to the Energy Industry Council as Chairman of the Scottish Committee and involvement with the PILOT Taskforce. Sidney holds an MBA from the University of Aberdeen and a BEng in Chemical Engineering from The University of Edinburgh.
