Information Technology Manager at SPG International

Dave Bicanic has over 30 years of work experience in various roles related to information technology and project management. Dave started their career as a Senior Consultant at Integrated Technology Group in 1991. From 1992 to 1995, they worked at Hirsh Company as an IT Manager and EDI Technical Administrator, where they implemented an EDI system integrated with a BPCS ERP system and achieved significant cost savings in order and invoice processing.

In 1995, Dave joined AMCO Corporation as an EDI Technical Administrator, where they implemented an EDI system and contributed to a $5 million increase in sales over five years by ensuring compliance with customer retail EDI requirements. Dave also integrated EDI directly with the MAPICS ERP system, resulting in savings of over $150,000 per year in processing costs.

From 1996 to 2008, Dave worked at Leggett & Platt, first as a Project Manager and later as a Business Analyst. Dave implemented a unique physical inventory system and designed an annual budgeting system shared by multiple companies, resulting in significant time and cost savings.

In 2008, Dave started their own business, Hobby Pursuit LLC, where they created a successful software package called "The Wargame BattleTracker" and manufactured and distributed hobby-related goods.

Most recently, Dave worked at SPG International, LLC as an Information Technology Manager since 2010. In this role, they managed the company's IT requirements, selected and implemented a new ERP system, and built an effective WAN to facilitate communication across multiple operating units.

Throughout their career, Dave has demonstrated expertise in implementing technology solutions, improving efficiency, and driving cost savings.

Dave Bicanic has studied Business Management and Computer Science at the College of Lake County.
