Dr. Michael Rüther

Dr. Michael Rüther has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Dr. Michael began their career in 1999 as a Management-Trainee at thyssenkrupp. After that, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Fraunhofer IML from 2000 to 2004. Dr. Michael then moved on to SMS Siemag AG, where they served as a Senior Manager in Corporate Development for a year before joining RWE in 2005. At RWE, they held multiple roles, including Project Manager in Corporate Development and Senior Manager and Head of IT Organization & Process Management. In 2014, Dr. Rüther established their own company called MR Consult GmbH, where they served as the Owner. In 2016, they founded MyBestGym GmbH and served as the CEO before leaving the company in 2017. In the same year, they also joined innogy Innovation Hub as an Innovation Manager in Decentral Technology & Business Development. Currently, Dr. Rüther is the Founder of Spherity, a role they have held since October 2017.

Dr. Michael Rüther obtained their Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from Paderborn University, where they studied from 1993 to 1999. Subsequently, they pursued their doctorate and PhD in Business Computing at the Heinz Nixdorf Institut, Department of Business Informatics, from 2000 to 2004.
