Fabien Rebeaud has a diverse and extensive work experience in the biomedical and diagnostic industries. They started their career as a Ph.D. student in immunology at the University of Lausanne, where they completed their research in 2009.
After their Ph.D., Fabien joined Cytos Biotechnology AG as a Research Scientist and the Head of the Vaccines for Infectious Diseases Laboratory. During their time at Cytos Biotechnology, they successfully led a research project and managed the lab activities for a team. They also established scientific collaborations both internally and externally.
In 2012, Fabien joined the University of Applied Sciences Western Switzerland as a Research Scientist, focusing on developing innovative in vitro diagnostic (IVD) solutions. They were involved in various activities such as peptide synthesis, bioanalytical method development, and lab organization.
In 2013, Fabien moved to Abionic SA, where they took on multiple roles. As the CSO, they led the development of innovative Clinical Diagnostics solutions and executed the company's IVD test development strategy. They also managed a cross-functional team and established a production unit for IVD capsules. Prior to becoming the CSO, Fabien served as the Head of Biology, where they organized lab activities and implemented the R&D Biology strategy.
Most recently, in 2021, Fabien joined Spiden as the Director of Biomedical Sciences. In this role, they are involved in combining spectral techniques, data analysis, and technology miniaturization to develop breakthrough products for the biopharmaceutical and medical device industries. Their work at Spiden focuses on continuous real-time measurement of analytes in complex fluids for early disease diagnosis and clinical management optimization.

Fabien Rebeaud completed their Master's degree in Biology, General from the Universities of Neuchâtel and Lausanne between 2000 and 2005. Fabien then pursued further education at the University of Lausanne - UNIL, where they obtained a PhD in Immunology and Biochemistry from 2005 to 2009.
