Fayez Barakji

Fayez Barakji has a diverse work experience that spans different industries. Fayez is currently serving as an Accelerator Cyber Technology Specialist for Darktrace since April 2023. Previously, they worked at Darktrace as a Senior Cyber Defense Engineer and Mentor from April 2021 to April 2023, and as a Cyber Defense Engineer from January 2019 to April 2021.

Prior to their time at Darktrace, Fayez worked at HP as a Junior Category Manager for the Middle East and Africa from 2017 to 2019.

Before joining HP, Fayez co-founded and served as the CEO of CG-Interactive LLC (FZC) from 2015 to 2018.

In 2015, they worked as a Professor Assistant and Grader at the American University of Sharjah.

Additionally, Fayez gained experience as a Network Engineering Intern at Beta Information Technology in 2015, where they worked alongside professionals to troubleshoot, setup, migrate, and replace computer networks and firewalls. Fayez successfully completed two confidential projects during their internship.

Fayez Barakji obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Engineering from the American University of Sharjah, where they studied from 2012 to 2016. Following their undergraduate studies, Fayez pursued a Masters of Science in Engineering Systems Management with a concentration in Computer and IT Management at the same institution from 2016 to 2019. In terms of additional certifications, they acquired the Darktrace Cyber Engineer certification in August 2021 and the Darktrace Cyber Analyst certification in May 2022, both from Darktrace. Prior to these, in February 2017, Fayez completed the "Python for Security Professionals" and "Social Engineering and Manipulation" certifications from Cybrary. It should be noted that Fayez also enrolled in a Cyber Security Bootcamp at the American University of Sharjah, but no information regarding the completion date is provided.
