Dean Paton

Dean commenced his engineering career in 1994 working across all aspects of conceptual definition, design, estimation, procurement, supervision, installation and commissioning of multi-disciplined and control system upgrade projects for the oil / gas and mining industries.

Dean has extensive site experience with highlights including the successful completion of “hot cutovers” of the control and safeguarding systems for a large oil and gas offshore complex.

Dean joined Plexal Group in 2004 and as Operations Manager he was able to achieve 400% growth over 18 months. Dean was elected to the Board as Executive Director in 2006 and led the establishment of their Thailand office.

Dean was elevated to Chief Executive Officer of Plexal Group in 2012 and is now Managing Director of the re-branded entity SPIE Plexal.
