Bart Pater

Bart Pater is an experienced project manager specializing in research and development and quality assurance at Spierings Medische Techniek / Spierings Orthopaedics since June 2010, with a focus on the development of implants and surgical instruments. Responsibilities include project planning, client and user communication with surgeons and international medical device companies, as well as technical development encompassing CAD, FEM, prototyping, testing, manufacturing methods, and clinical trials leading to CE-certification. Previous roles include board member at Stichting JH Nederland, graduation student at Van Straten Medical where innovative wound drainage methods were developed, internship at Roessingh Research and Development focusing on robotic rehabilitation for stroke patients, product engineer at MechDes Engineering working on various machine designs, and bicycle repairman and sales at Mooiweer Fietsen. Bart Pater holds a Master’s degree in Biomechanical Engineering from the University of Twente and completed VWO at Pieter Zandt Scholengemeenschap.
