Nouma Hammash has extensive experience in providing support and advocacy within healthcare and community settings. At Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Nouma volunteered at the PEARL Centre, assisting clients in finding information and resources. Nouma also volunteered at Malver Family Resources Centre, engaging in group discussions and interpreting for Arab newcomers. Currently, at Spinal Cord Injury Ontario, Nouma serves as Regional Services Coordinator, Mediator, and Peer Support Coordinator, focusing on assessing client needs post-rehabilitation and coordinating with community resources. Prior experience includes roles as Translator and Social Work Intern at Tawam Hospital, where medical documents were translated and patients were assisted in understanding their medical reports.
