Gabe Kalmar

Gabe Kalmar has extensive work experience, primarily as a Director in various companies. Gabe started working at Abilitech Medical, Inc in 2022 as the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) until February 2023. Gabe also worked as a Director at SpineX, MintList, Rehabtronics, Bioform Technology, Sonus Microsystems, Zennea Technologies, and HeadCheck Health. Additionally, they served as an Entrepreneur-In-Residence at entrepreneurship@UBC starting in 2017. Before that, Gabe had a role in Executive Management Consulting Biotechnology, Technology, and Venture Capital, where they held assorted positions since 2002.

Gabe Kalmar attended The University of British Columbia from 1979 to 1983, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry. Gabe then pursued further education at The University of British Columbia from 1984 to 1986, receiving a Master's Degree in Virology. Following this, they attended Simon Fraser University from 1986 to 1989 and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Virology.
