Shahriare Mahmood

Shahriare Mahmood is the current Chief Sustainability Officer at Spinnova. Prior to this role, Shahriare served as the Vice Chair of the amfori Member Advisory Council from April 2018 to August 2020. Before amfori, Shahriare was the R&D and Sustainability Director at Reima from October 2016 to August 2020.

Shahriare has over 15 years of experience in product development and management. Shahriare began their career as a Production Manager at M.A.S.I. Company Oy in September 2009 and held this role until September 2016 when they were promoted to Product Development Manager & Environmental / REACH Coordinator. In this role, Shahriare was responsible for supporting procurement, sourcing, and logistics operations in addition to managing projects and product data.

In January 2007, Shahriare became the Production Manager at M.A.S.I. Company AS where they worked until October 2004 when they took on the same role at Sangar Valga As.

Throughout their career, Shahriare has demonstrated their commitment to sustainability, environmental management, and corporate responsibility. In their current role as Chief Sustainability Officer at Spinnova, Shahriare is responsible for leading the company's sustainability strategy and initiatives.

Shahriare Mahmood has a Doctor of Science (Technology), D.Sc. (Tech.), in Industrial Engineering & Management from University of Oulu, a Masters of Engineering in Industrial Management in Industrial Engineering from Tampere University of Technology / Savonia University of Applied Science, and a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.
