Richard Sandoval

VP, Operations at Spire Hospitality

Inspired by his Mother’s belief in being of service to others and his Fathers drive to err on the side of action, Richard Sandoval unites the importance of selfless hospitality, with a focus on execution and results. In his role as VP of Operations, Richard ensures that his team members are valued and cared for and that they, in turn, create an exceptional experience for SPIRE guests.

Richard began his hospitality career in the early 90s, following his studies in Communications & PR. Over the course of the past 25 years, Richard has held several positions in the industry, in all facets of operations, including multiple General Manager positions and, prior to joining SPIRE, was an Area General Manager for Pyramid Hotel Group. In that role, Richard worked closely with both independently-owned properties and top industry brands, such as Marriott, Starwood, Hilton, and IHG. Known for his hands-on approach, Richard also assists with talent acquisition, brand conversion, and guest satisfaction measures that result in elevated guest experiences and increased returns.

His breadth of operations experience and his proven track record of turning around underperforming assets and repositioning them for success, enables Richard to identify and implement operational efficiencies, leverage strategic sales initiatives in order to generate greater revenues, manage capital infusion, and drive increased value for each SPIRE property.
