Douglas James Rankin

Douglas James Rankin has extensive work experience in sales and management roles in the telecommunications industry. Douglas James is currently the Vice President of Sales, EMEA at Spirent Communications. Prior to this, they served as a Board Advisor at Flint UK Technology Services. From 2011 to 2023, they held various positions at CommScope, including Vice President of Outdoor Wireless Sales, Europe, Vice President of Sales - Europe, and Director of Sales for Northern and Western Europe. Before that, Rankin worked at Motorola Solutions as the Regional Services Sales Director for Northern Europe and at Motorola as the Regional Services Sales Director for Motorola Enterprise Mobility Solutions. Douglas James also held positions at Motorola as Senior Service Support Manager and Senior EMEA Services Change Manager. Rankin played a key role in developing and launching new programs and services and has a strong focus on sales and customer relationships.

Douglas James Rankin obtained their HNC degree in Telecoms from the School of Telecommunications - British Army in 1990. Douglas James later achieved their HND degree in Management from Heriot-Watt University between 1992 and 1994. In the period of 1997 to 2001, Rankin pursued their MBA in Business Management from The Open University Business School. Most recently, in 2016 and 2017, they completed the Executive Leadership Program in Business Strategy at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.
