Technical Innovation Engineer (principal Engineer) at Spirent

Rafal Zbikowski has extensive work experience in technical leadership, engineering research, and post-graduate teaching. Rafal has served as a Technical Innovation Engineer and Principal Engineer at Spirent Communications since 2018, specializing in solving challenging engineering problems in the domain of Connected and Autonomous Vehicles and Aerospace Engineering. Rafal has also initiated and facilitated cutting-edge capabilities in various areas related to Position, Navigation & Timing. Prior to their current role, Rafal Zbikowski was a Professor of Control Engineering at Cranfield University for over 20 years, where they focused on solving real-world problems and attracted funding for their research projects. Rafal started their career as a Research Fellow at Glasgow University.

Rafal Zbikowski completed their education with a Ph.D. in "Recurrent Neural Networks: Some Control Aspects" from the University of Glasgow from 1992 to 1994. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, specializing in "Robust Adaptive Real-time Control" from Warsaw University of Technology between 1985 and 1990.
