Matthew Barnett

Matthew Barnett, CIPM (IAPP) has a diverse work experience spanning over 17 years. Matthew is currently serving as a Senior Technical Product Manager at Spirion since March 2019. Prior to that, they worked at SHINE Systems as a Deployment Strategist/Senior Technical Analyst from October 2012 to March 2019. Before joining SHINE Systems, Matthew worked at SAIC as a Journeyman WTI/TECHINT Analyst from October 2009 to October 2012. Matthew'scareer began in the US Army, where they served as an Intelligence Analyst/Infantry from September 2004 to February 2012, fulfilling different roles including Infantry and Allsource Intelligence Analyst with deployments during that time.

Matthew Barnett, CIPM (IAPP), has a strong educational background in the fields of cybersecurity and general studies. From 2011 to 2016, they attended the University of Maryland Global Campus, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Homeland Security/Cybersecurity. Additionally, they completed an Associate's Degree in General Studies from the same institution, spanning from 2012 to 2014.

Matthew has also pursued professional certifications to augment their expertise. In February 2021, they obtained the Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) certification from the IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals.
