Ghassan Awwad

Ghassan Awwad has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Ghassan started their career at Dell Technologies, where they held roles as a Manufacturing Process Engineer, Senior Supply Chain Engineer, and later an Engineering Manager. During their time at Dell, they managed process engineering teams, developed and delivered training programs, and led cross-functional projects resulting in significant productivity and quality improvements.

After their tenure at Dell, Ghassan joined Schlumberger as a Graduate Fellow in the MIT Leaders for Global Operations (LGO) program. Ghassan worked on a seven-month corporate fellowship, where they developed a strategic framework for designing, manufacturing, and sourcing surface equipment and trucks for the company's Well Services and Wireline business segments.

Ghassan later joined Spirit AeroSystems, where they held various leadership roles. This includes serving as the Vice President of Global Contracts and later as the Senior Executive Director of Global Production Engineering. In these roles, they managed large global teams and implemented lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles to optimize production and delivery processes.

Ghassan also served as the Executive Director of Business Improvement for the Airbus A350 program and as the Vice President of M&A Integration & Corporate Strategy, where they led the integration planning for Spirit's acquisition of select aerostructures assets from Bombardier.

Ghassan's most recent role at Spirit AeroSystems is the Divisional CFO for Airbus and Regional/Business Jets Finance. In this role, they supervised a global finance team and directed all financial reporting and forecasting activities for the company's $2B Global division.

Ghassan Awwad has a Master of Business Administration - MBA degree from MIT Sloan School of Management, which they obtained from 2007 to 2009. Ghassan also has a Master of Science - MS degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering, with a focus on Supply Chain Management, from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Furthermore, Ghassan Awwad holds a Master of Science - MS degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering from Texas A&M University. Ghassan completed their education with a Bachelor of Science - BS degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Jordan. In addition to their degrees, Ghassan Awwad has obtained certifications in Lean Change Agent, Project Management Professional (PMP), Simulation Modeling, and Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB) from Dell Technologies and ProModel Corporation.
