Sivakumar Balasubramanian

Sivakumar Balasubramanian has over 20 years of experience in various roles within the manufacturing industry. Sivakumar currently serves as the Vice President of Factory Support Engineering at Spirit AeroSystems since August 2020. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Oklahoma Operations Engineering at Spirit AeroSystems from October 2018 to August 2020. From 2017 to 2020, they held the position of Manufacturing Optimization Leader at Spirit AeroSystems.

Before joining Spirit AeroSystems, Sivakumar worked at Triumph Aerostructures Inc, Tulsa as the Director of Production Engineering from January 2015 to January 2017. In this role, they were responsible for multi-site technical support and implementing cost-saving improvement opportunities.

From 2012 to 2014, Sivakumar served as the Senior Manager of Manufacturing Support at Spirit AeroSystems, where they focused on manufacturing efficiency improvement and implemented a Lean Manufacturing Plan.

Prior to that, they worked at HawkerBeechcraft Corp as the Interim Director of Operations from August 2011 to August 2012, and as the Manufacturing Engineering Manager from April 2008 to August 2011.

Sivakumar'searlier experience includes working as a Quality Manager at Excel Industries from October 2002 to April 2008, and as a Graduate Research Assistant at Wichita State University from August 1999 to February 2002. Sivakumar began their career as a Quality Engineer at Delphi TVS Ltd., from June 1996 to July 1999.

Sivakumar Balasubramanian holds an MBA in Finance from Wichita State University, obtained from 2006 to 2009. Prior to that, they completed a Masters in Industrial Engineering and an additional Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from the same institution, from 1999 to 2002. Sivakumar also earned a B.E in Production Engineering from Annamalai University between 1992 and 1996.
