Matthew Glatfelter

Senior Director, Research at Spirovant

Matthew Glatfelter has a solid work experience spanning several companies. Matthew is currently employed at Spirovant Sciences, Inc. as a Senior Director of Research, a role they have held since April 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Director of R&D at the same company from November 2019 to March 2022.

Before joining Spirovant Sciences, Inc., Matthew worked at Immunome from 2017 to 2019. Matthew started as a Senior Research Scientist, where they contributed to the development and implementation of a high sensitivity multiplexed flow cytometry assay. Later, they were promoted to Principal Scientist, where they led the automation and engineering of Beckman and PerkinElmer automation systems, resulting in improved efficiency and productivity.

From 2008 to 2017, Matthew worked at Morphotek, Inc. as a Principal Researcher. In this role, they focused on high throughput screening method development to identify novel antibody and antibody drug conjugate leads. Matthew specialized in assay development, including high throughput multiplex flow cytometry, FRET, ELISA, ALPHA, and HCS.

Matthew's early work experience includes a role as an Assistant Manager at Mr. Bill's Fresh Seafood from 2000 to 2008.

Matthew Glatfelter attended Ursinus College from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology with a focus on Biostatistics. In 2007, they also participated in a study abroad program at CAPA - Centers for Academic Programs Abroad in Florence, Italy. During their time in Italy, Matthew studied Biology and Italian.
